An IT executive's role, goals and objectives have drastically changed over the years. Most leaders supervise teams and units beyond their IT department. Due to these changes in responsibilities, their success is measured in greater business metrics. As a result, these roles have become both more attractive and more demanding.

The omnibus 21st Century Cures Act (Act). Enacted in 2016, the Act included interoperability requirements to enable the secure exchange and use of electronic health information by consumers through a "trusted framework" in a more patient-friendly manner. The mobile technology and protocols to make this happen are already in use in the retail, banking and travel industries. Recently the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) published the ONC Cures Act Final Rule. The 21st Century Cures Act: Interoperability, Information Blocking, and the ONC Health IT Certification Program Final Rule set a path forward to make data more accessible and sharable. The rule sets new requirements such as patients access to data, API enabled interoperability, penalties for information blocking and more. The rule also establishes timelines to enable the new requirements.
Takeaways:
11:00 am - 11:20 am
Time is of the essence when your organization experiences a breach. Minutes could mean millions of dollars. Are you confident you can stop the bleeding while quickly educating your organization on best practices? How do you gain better and quicker visibility of what is happening across your environment with the analytics and detection capabilities to recover from the breach. Then using that information, come out the other side as a security team with the right tools in your hand to reduce future risk?
Takeaways:
11:20 am - 11:40 am
In today's world, we are all technologists and our experiences shape our relationship with technology. As we interact with the world and each other, we often don't realize how the technologies we use behave as extensions of our own bodies. One don't have to think about the individual keys to press, our fingers merely type the words you are thinking. But that same keyboard becomes a technology dinosaur compared to alternatives when you're out walking and need to send a text message. The confusion for some of us is that there are technologies we can clearly tag as dinosaurs to kill off, while other technologies are dinosaurs only in certain situations.
Key takeaways:
11:40 am - 12:00 pm
Enabling a secure remote workforce is more critical than ever before. Whether you're issuing more corporate-owned devices or enabling a BYOD program for remote employees, enabling secure and seamless access to authorized apps is a business imperative.
12:00 pm - 12:20 pm
Who would have guessed that in the year 2020, the world would be brought to its collective knees because of a bat virus? Even worse, the world reacted prudently to safeguard lives by shuttering businesses and quarantining personnel. But with this action, new cybersecurity risks were (potentially) created for those organizations that attempted to stay open and allow workers to remotely connect.
This Think Tank conversation will seek to explore lessons learned from each participant to include examining the following topics.
What worked and didn't work?

This session will cover how you could secure your Work From Home (WFH) setup, and will provid details on the security controls you need to secure your overall remote work environment.
Take-aways:

Today's digital evolution will take major enterprises twice as long and cost twice as much as initially anticipated. Companies will struggle with digital innovation as they realize the associated challenges, and the true cost of modernization. As such, leaders in smaller and more agile organizations have a great opportunity to be first to market, while those in larger organizations suffer through uninspiring, and potentially career limiting, short term results.
